Läs hennes in lägg här.

When Númi and I were thinking about having a baby I knew that CrossFit was something I definitely wanted to continue doing. I‘ve always admired all the pregnant CrossFit ladies out there – they look so healthy and happy and COOL. The last months I have also gotten the opportunity to watch my sister, Jakobína, crossfit. She is 39 weeks pregnant now and still training. She feels good and I believe she will train until few hours before she gives birth to her baby boy.

I‘m 19 weeks pregnant today and I feel great. I crossfit about 5-6 days a week for about one hour at a time. I can still do almost all of the typical crossfit exersices and I usually use RX weights but I approach my workouts with a more relaxed attitude than before I got pregnant. Sometimes when I‘m feeling really good, I like to go a little harder … although I know I won’t set new PR‘s or break any records. Other days I don‘t think at all about the clock or my reps and I‘m just glad to be moving a little. The strange thing is that the warm ups seem to be physically harder for me than the workouts. There are certain mobility positions and stretches that I simply cannot do!

I have gotten some concerned input regarding my crossfit training, especially from older people who believe that my training is harmful for my baby. There are so many people out there with these old school thoughts! But most of the comments I get are positive and having the community’s support is really great mentally.

My advice for you other pregnant crossfitters is first and foremost to listen to your body. There is no need to feel like you have something to prove, so if you’re not feeling good just take it easy! Enjoy training while pregnant and have fun with your pregnant body.
